The Opportunity:

We have a new opportunity for a Paralegal / Solicitor to join our Real Estate Developmentteam, based at our Norwich office. This position offers a great opportunity to work closely with agents, buyers, and investors, and will be pivotal to ensuring that our clients experience a professional and efficient service. This growing department works in a fast-paced environment, and they are looking for an individuals who relish the challenge that this brings.

The Candidate:
  • The ideal candidate will have some previous paralegal or solicitor experience, including working on new build purchase and sales matters, with a fee earning target.
  • The ideal candidate will hold relevant legal qualifications, or be currently working towards these.
  • Successful candidates should be committed to providing excellent standards of client care, be commercially astute, and have working knowledge of conveyancing practice and procedures.
  • We are looking for someone with great time management, IT and communication skills, who is an accurate typist (including dictations) and someone who appreciates the importance of attention to detail.
  • The applicants will enjoy a busy environment and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • We are keen to find individuals who have a positive "can-do" attitude, who love learning new skills.
  • Successful candidates will be team players who thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • It goes without saying that we need people who can build a strong rapport with clients as well as their team.

The Role:

This role will see the successful candidate undertaking the following tasks:

  • Handling of a caseload of property development and energy transactions, from instruction through to completion.
  • Liaising and meeting with clients, agents, and other stakeholders, and building strong rapport, to ensure a seamless transaction process.
  • Draft and negotiate options, contracts, leases, and other property-related documents.
  • Providing support to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and financial requirements, such as completing compliance checks.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for each transaction.
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive team dynamic.
  • Participating in business development opportunities and networking events to promote firm services.
  • Providing general Paralegal and Administrative support to the team as required.

The Real Estate Development team is a specialist team dedicated to handling property development transactions (including new build purchases and sales) and energy projects. The friendly and highly regarded team have vast experience and knowledge of working with landowners, developers and home buyers.

Whatever the client’s business size or background, the team provides effective solutions for all property development matters, energy projects and new build requirements.
