Job description

Our client is seeking a Paralegal to support their finance and corporate operations, providing practical legal solutions and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks. The position combines technical legal work with commercial engagement across multiple business areas.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting due diligence on loan transactions and assisting with loan documentation.
  • Reviewing and drafting term sheets, loan agreements, and related legal documents.
  • Liaising with the administration team to ensure legal and commercial alignment.
  • Assisting with private equity, fiduciary, and corporate transactions.
  • Supporting internal legal matters such as drafting committee minutes and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Maintaining awareness of legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business.
  • Refining and updating standard legal agreements and templates.
  • Managing relationships with external legal counsel and ensuring value-for-money legal advice.
  • Supporting risk analysis and helping to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
  • Preparing periodic reports for management and the Board.
  • Ensuring that legal processes reflect current legislation and best practice standards.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant legal qualification and have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a legal, finance, or commercial environment. They will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice. A strong commercial awareness, ethical judgement, and an analytical mindset are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be proactive, solutions-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
