Job summary

A local hospice organization in Rochdale is looking for an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join their multi-disciplinary team. The role requires experience in palliative care and involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in both hospice settings and at home. Qualifications

• Previous experience of caring for patients with palliative care needs.
• Evidence of continued professional development and willingness to undertake further study in palliative care.
• Knowledge of the audit process and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care using multidisciplinary approach.
• Supervise professional work of other staff as needed.
• Deliver skilled, research based, individually planned nursing care.

Skills

Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate continuing patient care

Extended role skills (e.g., venepuncture, cannulation)

Knowledge of the philosophy of palliative care

Education

Certificate/Diploma in palliative care

Teaching qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent)

Registered nurse (Level 1) with minimum of 1 year post-registration experience
