Job summary

A leading industrial services provider in Aberdeen City is seeking a qualified Coating Supervisor to lead the painting team and ensure safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and possess at least a NACE Level 2 certification. Responsibilities include supervising operations, managing work orders, and ensuring quality standards are met using digital reporting tools. Competitive work hours with potential for overtime are offered.

  • 5+ years in a similar role.
  • Training for IRATA Rope Access is available, willingness to train required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the site painting team.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures/specifications.
  • Create work orders and update planning in Maximo.
  • Monitor operations against the safety management system.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Full‑time permanent position, key responsibilities.

  • Lead and motivate site painting team, providing supervision and paint inspection support.
  • Ensure company and client procedures/specifications are implemented and adhered to.
  • Maximo – Creating work orders, planning and progress updating.
  • Nexus – Digital quality reporting.
  • Carry out active monitoring to ensure operations are being carried out inline with company safety management system.
  • Operate various destructive and non‑destructive paint testing equipment.
  • Submit daily progress reports to site manager.
  • Scope FM work orders and arrange equipment, materials and consumables for task.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

  • NACE or ICorr Coating Inspection Level 2 Minimum.
  • TTP Coating Supervisor.
  • 5+ years in a similar role.

DESIRABLE:

  • ISOH Managing Safely.
  • IRATA Rope Access (Training can be provided, must be willing to train).
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Good Organisational Skills
  • IT literate – Microsoft Office
WORKING HOURS
  • 37.5 hours working week Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of overtime.
  • Working hours are 07:00 to 17:00 Monday to Wednesday and 07:00 to 16:30 on a Thursday.
  • Overtime rates are paid at OT1 (x1.5) and OT2 (x2).
