Overview

We have an exciting opportunity here for a Paid Search Executive to join the Media Planning and Performance Team!

You’ll be working alongside our Performance colleagues to deliver best in‑class activation across paid media platforms.

You’ll also be responsible for planning, briefing & optimising Paid Search marketing activity, to drive a relevant action to service Tesco shoppers.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Paid Search Manager in the day‑to‑day execution of Tesco’s Paid Search campaigns across Groceries, Marketplace and F&F with a focus on acquiring and optimising for new customers/growing revenue.
  • Supporting the daily coordination and management of the external agency while also supplying to the development and upskilling of internal team members.
  • Delivering regular reporting and in‑depth analysis on campaign performance, track competitor activity, and provide actionable insights to improve Paid Search efficiency.
  • Leading all aspects of planning, execution, and optimisation of campaigns across key business areas (Food, General Merchandise, F&F), including monthly promotional campaigns and broader critical initiatives.
  • Participating in internal campaign briefings, communicate channel strategies to partners, and provide performance updates post‑campaign.
  • Collaborating cross‑functionally with internal teams and business units to ensure flawless execution of activity aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with external tool providers, lead administrative tasks including raising and balancing purchase orders, and provide general team support.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Paid Search role working agency or client side working on a UK account.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in delivering inspiring briefs and feedback.
  • Ability to develop impactful omnichannel comms.
  • Ability to turn data into actionable insight.
  • Experience with deep analysis and reporting skills.
  • Ability to set meaningful metrics and assess performance.
  • Minimum 1.5–2 years’ hands‑on experience in Paid Search activation, either within an agency or in‑house environment.
