Job description

We provide health and social care services to our people in their own homes or in their local community. We also run Torbay Hospital (providing acute hospital services) as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham.

We support around 500,000 face‑to‑face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in our A&E department annually. Main duties of the job

What you will be responsible for:

• To always maintain confidentiality of information regarding children/ families.
• Promote and maintain good and effective communication with patients, relatives, and visitors.
• Persuade patients and families to co‑operate with treatment for their well‑being, effectively deal with anxious relatives.
• Ensure parents/carers and the child (when appropriate), can agree and/or negotiate care.
• The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree
• Paediatric NMC registration
• Minimum of 6-months experience working in NHS Hospital in Paediatric ward setting in the last 3-years.
