Overview

Role is subject to consultation. Salary: £35,557.95 per annum, this includes 23.5% shift premium. (subject to consultation, this rate may increase by 3% from October 2025)

Working Hours: 42 hours per week (e.g. 4 on, 4 off) working 12 hour shifts which includes weekends, bank holidays and night shifts.

What you\'ll be doing

As a PMO Process/Packing Machine Operator (PMO) at PepsiCo, you keep the line running and performance strong. You operate the equipment in your area, follow operational processes, and work closely with your shift team. Any issues or defects you find should be rectified or escalated to the corresponding team member to support.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to standards to achieve line performance: safety, operating and maintaining equipment and line quality checks
  • Proactively work to improve safety, for example raising and helping to resolve near misses
  • Own the execution of basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspection and lubrication, as part of an autonomous maintenance system
  • Identify and log issues/defects on equipment using the appropriate systems
  • Own changeover on equipment autonomously
  • Adhere to escalation process for any unresolved issues during shift
  • Handover information to next shift
  • Share knowledge, coach and support colleagues
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively participating in everyday problem solving
  • Practical, hands-on operational production experience in cleaning, checking equipment for defects and basic part replacement
  • Be great at spotting and solving problems with production or equipment
  • Take ownership of work and be willing to tackle difficult challenges
  • Follow processes and safety standards closely, with a focus on keeping things safe and running smoothly
  • Contribute to a positive team culture to achieve shared goals
  • Be curious about finding better ways to keep equipment running smoothly
  • Communicate clearly, whether in writing or verbally
  • Share knowledge and help others grow while continuing to learn
