A leading manufacturer in the world of personal healthcare products has a new opening. They are looking for a Packaging Development Manager with experience working for a large multinational organization.

Your role will be to identify, develop, and drive the implementation of packaging technology solutions that add value to the company and its customers. This will be measured by business parameters such as consumer satisfaction, operations improvement, environmental sustainability, sales growth, and profitability.

Main Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for packaging development initiatives related to existing/new items
• Responsible for packaging development initiatives and execution within the UK
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal functions such as Strategic Sourcing, QA, and Finance to develop and implement packaging supporting customer business objectives
• Work with suppliers and external resources to identify potential design and technology opportunities for packaging
• Develop and maintain knowledge of critical consumer and operational issues as well as key packaging technologies
• Collaborate with suppliers, creative agencies, and other sources to develop a range of creative options for packaging

Skills & Experience:

• Packaging technology and/or business/packaging strategy development
• Knowledge of packaging forms, coatings & conversion processes
• Strong technical competencies in packaging science, including structural design and manufacturing processes
• Experience with project management tasks and timeline development
