The role involves issuing RFQs to international suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and managing supplier relationships. Fantastic opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic Buyer to join a fast‑paced, growing Packaging business in the Leeds area! If you are confident in negotiation, supplier management and cost control and enjoy working with an international supplier base, then read on…!

Key Responsibilities
  • Issue RFQs for packaging material to international supplier base
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers to ensure best terms are achieved
  • Issue quotations to customers based on supplier pricing, utilising stocked products wherever possible to drive maximum efficiencies and quick turnaround
  • Conduct tendering activities for higher value / longer term supplier agreements, always driving best value throughout the company's supply chain

Working Hours

  • Good commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • Driven and enthusiastic
  • Previous experience in the packaging industry would be an advantage but is not essential
