About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Southwark. This is a key role at the heart of the school, providing high-level administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will be discreet, professional, and able to manage a busy workload with confidence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full PA support to the Headteacher, including diary management, correspondence, and meeting coordination
  • Act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, letters, agendas, and minutes to a high standard
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Headteacher's office
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to governors' meetings and senior leadership activities
  • Liaise effectively with staff, parents, governors, and external agencies
About You
  • Previous experience in a PA or senior administrative role (school experience desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise competing demands
  • Professional, approachable, and highly reliable
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding in an education setting
