Job summary

A community support service in Downpatrick seeks a support worker to assist a gentleman with MS and a visual impairment. Responsibilities include accompanying him to appointments, shopping trips, and performing light housework. The ideal candidate should be a car driver with access to a vehicle and have a patient, understanding demeanor. This is a permanent role requiring 2 days of 5 hours each and 1 day of 6 hours, with flexible hours and competitive pay, including 5.6 weeks fully paid holiday.

Qualifications

• Must have a full clean driving license.
• Previous caring experience is preferred but not essential.
• Must be patient and have an understanding nature.
• Enjoy being active and getting out with the client.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the gentleman to hospital and social appointments.
• Accompany on shopping trips.
• Perform light housework and laundry.
• Assist with emails and correspondence.

Further Information

Work Time: 2 days 5 hours, one day 6 hours, negotiable. No weekends.This will be a permanent post in a good working environment. Excellent rate of pay with 5.6 weeks holiday fully paid. Hour are negotiable.
