Job Bridge Global are delighted to offer once in a great opportunity to work and live in the UK under a Work Permit for experienced Oil and Gas skilled operatives.

Summary of Industry:

The UK Oil and Gas industry is managed by the NJC (National Joint Council) which is a partnership between trade unions and employers. It reviews and administers the NAECI agreement. The NAECI Agreement covers all of this sector, it is referred to as ‘Blue Book rates’. NAECI = The National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry.

The Industry:

Engineering Construction work on major and basic engineering construction projects, repair and maintenance sites and events / outages throughout the UK.

Country:

UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)

Rates of Pay:

Pipefitter

  • Between Standard £19.11/hr and £34.40/hr for overtime
  • Based on a 38 hours x 52 weeks, that’s a salary of £37,761.36
  • You would be expected to do far more hours than that, which qualify for the overtime rate.

Overtime rates include: Night shifts, afternoon shifts, Double Day shifts, 3 day shifts, rolling shifts and Overtime.

Proficiency Payments on Welds:

  • Where work does not have to be tested, no proficiency payment.
  • Upper end of the scale, an extra 44p per hour.

  • Daily rate: £43.27/night
  • Weekly Rate: £302.89
  • That equates to an extra £15,750.28 per annum

That’s over £50,000 before any overtime!!

The Employer:

They operate in the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence, Hydrogen and Carbon Capture plant industries. As a member of their skilled workforce, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication, welding, and installation of pipes, structures, and equipment for various industrial projects. From power plants to oil refineries, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of projects in a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components according to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform welding, including GTAW, GMAW, SMAW techniques, and be familiar with a variety of welding processes and materials.
  • Install pipes, ducts, and other industrial components, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests to ensure the integrity and conformance of fabricated components and structures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, completing work efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide guidance and direction to less experienced fabricators, welders, and pipefitters when necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on various tasks.
  • Pass Drug and Alcohol Test abroad and in the UK.
  • Pass Trade Assessment abroad.
  • Trade certification or equivalent qualification in Fabrication, Welding, or Pipefitting.
  • Proven experience as a Fabricator, Welder, or Pipefitter in a similar industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and pipefitting procedures.
  • Experience with a variety of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
  • Ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment used in fabrication and welding.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasionally travel to different job sites.
