Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a committed Outreach Worker in Camden to support vulnerable members of the community. Job description

We're looking for a committed and resilient Outreach Worker to join our team and support some of the most vulnerable members of the Camden community. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role ideal for someone passionate about helping individuals with complex needs move away from rough sleeping and towards safer, more stable lives.

Based: Camden

Start: ASAP

Duration: 2‑3 months

Pay: £15.50 + HP / £19.50 LTD

Flexibility required

Shift Requirements
  • Up to 3 early shifts per week (6am‑2pm)
  • Late shifts (until 9/10pm)
  • Occasional weekends
  • 1 night shift every 3 months
  • Flexibility is essential
What You'll Be Doing
  • Approaching and engaging with rough sleepers across Camden
  • Working in partnership with local homeless services, police, and community wardens
  • Linking individuals with relevant services and support pathways
  • Supporting clients into temporary accommodation
  • Conducting screening, assessments, recovery planning, and referrals
  • Reducing drug and alcohol‑related harm to individuals and the wider community
  • Helping service users access accommodation, health care, substance use services, benefits and more
  • Supporting social reintegration and encouraging recovery, resilience, peer support, and independence
  • Working outdoors in all weather, including early mornings, nights, and weekends
About You

You will be engaging with people who have a history of rough sleeping, substance misuse and multiple complex needs. You should demonstrate a determined, compassionate approach and be comfortable working in challenging environments.

You will need knowledge or experience in at least one of the following:

  • Homelessness
  • Mental health
  • Substance misuse
  • Criminal Justice System
