An educational outreach organization is seeking a dedicated Outreach Tutor/Teacher to provide individualized learning support for SEN and SEMH students. This role involves delivering tailored 1–1 lessons in English and Maths on a home-based or centre basis, aiming to engage learners at risk of exclusion. Ideal candidates should be qualified teachers with experience in special education needs, possess patience, and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
135-£210 per day dependent on qualifications | 1–1 Teaching Home Based or at Centre | English & Maths
We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Tutor / Teacher to work 1–1 with students who are currently on waitlists for specialist school placements or are at risk of exclusion. These learners have SEN and / or SEMH needs and require patient, tailored support to help them stay engaged in education.
Provide 2 hours of teaching daily per student (up to 3 students per day): 1 hour of English and 1 hour of Maths per student.
Could potentially initially start with one student, with potential for your caseload to increase as new referrals come in or start full‑time right away if we have adequate referral numbers.
Sessions may take place in the student’s home with a parent / carer present or in the new purpose built tuition centre in Dagenham.
Plan and deliver engaging, individualised learning to support progress and confidence.
You must be able to teach both English and Maths. All stages welcome but those able to teach to GCSE level are highly desirably for this role.
