Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager responsible for identifying, negotiating, and executing out-licensing opportunities for the company’s pharmaceutical assets. This role requires strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and the ability to build strategic partnerships with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning & Market Analysis
  • Develop and implement out-licensing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential partners and assess competitive landscape.
  • Evaluate product portfolio for out-licensing opportunities based on market demand and regulatory considerations.
  • Partner Identification & Relationship Management
  • Identify and engage potential licensing partners globally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and partner meetings.
  • Deal Negotiation & Execution
  • Lead negotiations for out-licensing agreements, including financial terms, milestones, and royalties.
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and technical teams to ensure compliance and successful deal closure.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective partners.
  • Financial & Commercial Analysis
  • Conduct valuation and financial modelling for licensing deals.
  • Monitor performance of out-licensed products and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing teams to align licensing strategies with product development.
  • Provide input on product lifecycle management and commercialization plans.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical business development, licensing, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing out-licensing deals.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development, regulatory pathways, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
