A leading consultancy in technology is looking for an experienced Contract OT Security Consultant to support security measures in a manufacturing setting. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will have extensive ICS experience and be GICSP certified, ensuring the safety and uptime in manufacturing operations while implementing industry security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS in manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of NIST 800-82 and IEC 62443.
• Familiarity with Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Ethernet/IP protocols.

OT Security Consultant

A global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Contract OT Security Consultant. This role requires deep technical expertise across Operational Technology within manufacturing environments.

• Day Rate: £600 – £700 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Duration: 6 months initially
• Location: Remote with occasional travel to Hertfordshire (ad hoc)

Experience Required

• Extensive hands-on experience with industrial control systems (ICS) such as PLCs, SCADA, and DCS, including configuration, integration, and real-time troubleshooting within operational manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to implement and support OT security measures, leveraging industry standards such as NIST 800-82 and IEC 62443, while ensuring safety and uptime in global manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of OT-specific network protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Ethernet/IP), with experience using diagnostic tools for packet capture, analysis, and root cause investigation.
• GICSP-certified professional with a proven track record of working across global manufacturing sites to bridge IT and OT security, conduct risk assessments, and drive secure system design and implementation.
