A leading technology company in the UK seeks a Technical Support Engineer to provide engineering support for inlay assembly and label conversion processes. Candidates should possess strong expertise in high-volume die attach processing and semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves significant travel (approx. 50%) to customer sites and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join our growing Back End Operationsteam! Based in the North East of England and with significant travel to customer sites globally, this role will provide support to customers with the set-up of the FlexIC inlay assembly process to enable volume production on various machine sets.
The role will involve managing technical issues at customer sites if problems arise, carrying out fault-finding and root cause analysis in a time-effective manner in order to provide solutions. You will also be responsible for the follow-up engagement work for these external parties, ensuring that an exceptional level of professional support is provided.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in either automated die attach or reel-to-reel processing, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, given the customer-facing nature of the role.
You will develop in-depth knowledge of the FlexIC inlay assembly processes and machines (you will be provided with full training before customer support activities commence) in particular the TAL15K tool.

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level in a related discipline, or will possess relevantexperience.
