Zest Optical are working alongside a growing independent Opticians in Leicester to recruit a Part-Time Optical Assistant. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, community-focused team across two practices just four miles apart, both committed to providing personalised, high-quality eye care.

Optical Assistant – Role Overview

• Working across two well-established practices in Leicester
• Part-time: 2-3 days per week
• Hours: 9am-5.30pm
• Only 1 in 4 Saturdays required
• Welcoming patients and providing a first-class customer experience
• Supporting the Optometrists and wider team in day-to-day practice operations
• Advising patients on suitable frames and lenses
• Handling contact lens enquiries and orders
• Assisting with remote edging and working with a range of Essilor lenses
• Helping with the styling and presentation of a varied eyewear collection, including designer and high-street brands
• Salary of £27,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience

Optical Assistant – Requirements

• Confident in dispensing and comfortable working independently when needed
• Strong communication and customer service skills
