A leading company in the timber construction sector seeks a Business Development Manager based in the South, responsible for growing sales and managing accounts. SR Timber (part of SIG Plc) is a leading supplier of specialist timber construction material in the UK,with decades of experience in producing, supplying, and installing timber products according to BS5534.
We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager – Southern Based, to create and implement a business strategy to grow the sales and profit of our customer ledger, and secure new business opportunities.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing our existing accounts in order to achieve and exceed sales targets. You’ll also target potential new opportunities for SR-Timber to engage with, with an emphasis on sales volumes, gross margin and gross profit. You will look to develop opportunities selling a variety of timber product types – primarily BS5534 Roofing Batten and influencing customer buying habits, ensuring SR-Timber is the supplier of choice and thinking strategically to offer customers innovative solutions and value-added sales propositions.
The successful candidate will require: Proven Account Management experience in B2B sales, roofing / timber industry experience is essential. The candidate should be highly self-motivated and organised, With a track record of success within an account management position. Good IT skills, especially MS Excel and previous CRM experience would be advantageous.
