JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN

This post is based offshore on the Anasuria FPSO on a 2/3 rotation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s ‘Life-Saving Rules’.
• Live our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
• Accountable to the Shift Supervisor for the safe operation of process and associated utilities systems
• The safe monitoring and operation of wells, process plant, utility systems and equipment in designated area of responsibility
• Effective monitoring and response to process alarms/trips, F&G and ESD systems
• Safe isolation and reinstatement of plant and equipment for maintenance
• Control of work and activities in your area of responsibility including auditing
• Emergency Response duties as detailed for position

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• SAFETY: To be familiar with and have an understanding of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
• TECHNICAL INTEGRITY: Ability to deploy engineering & operational standards / procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards.
• TECHNICAL INTEGRITY: Ability to identify, investigate, audit and control technical change (within limit of discipline knowledge).
• QUALITY ASSURANCE: Ability to undertake work to meet acceptance criteria with respect to safety, technical integrity.
• COMMUNICATION: Clear, fluent and expressive use of verbal and written language to convey information and ideas.
• COMMUNICATION: Requirement to raise any non-conformance to supervisor in timely fashion.
• PLANNING: Awareness of project activities.
• PLANNING: Input into project / asset plans in timely fashion if required.
• TEAMWORK/LEADERSHIP: Ability to provide guidance and motivation to co-workers.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Educated to ONC Standard or equivalent in craft, process or technical qualification.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Process qualification NVQ 3 or equivalent standard.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience as a Control Room Operator on an offshore installation, or FPSO would be beneficial
• QUALIFICATIONS: Ideally candidates would have an NVQ Level 3 in Hydrocarbon Processing (or equivalent qualification) and be able to demonstrate competence in this area.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Emergency Response competence with valid certification.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Good communication skills and a proactive approach to Safe Working Practices.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Good PC literacy.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Ideally experience working as a Control Room Operator/Operations Technician on an offshore installation, FPSO. Alternatively in gas processing, chemical or petro-chemical industries.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Marine Systems would be beneficial but not essential.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Maximo would also be beneficial
