Position: Operations Support Manager
Location: Castle Bromwich
Grade: RCS. K
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
  • Drive an integrated program of change initiatives across all service lines and functional areas within our freight operation, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering collaboration among teams
  • Oversee daily freight operations to guarantee adherence to contractual SLAs, proactively identifying opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains in logistics and transportation
  • Analyse and manage data by creating comprehensive data maps within operational functions, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Leverage KPIs and performance data to assess operational effectiveness, implementing targeted improvements to enhance overall performance and service delivery
  • Define, track, and communicate success metrics to monitor progress throughout change initiatives, ensuring accountability and transparency in achieving project objectives
  • Continuously identify and implement operational best practices through collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving innovation and enhancing overall operational excellence
  • Anticipate and address resistance to transformation initiatives by engaging stakeholders, fostering a culture of openness and promoting the benefits of change
  • Management of continuous improvement, UK Change, Operational launches and operational pain point project and tracking project statuses
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
  • Previous Project Management experience within an operation is essential
  • Experience with large scale organisational transformation projects
  • Ability to clearly articulate message to a variety of audiences
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to demonstrate achievement of results e.g. business improvements, cost savings, gain share identification
  • IT Literate - Microsoft packages, transport systems
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with wider teams
