A well-established logistics business is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a busy 3PL site in Droitwich. The role requires managing a team of about 25 staff, overseeing warehouse operations, and maintaining safety standards. Operations Manager

Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking to take ownership of a busy 3PL site and lead a high-performing team? Our client, a well-established logistics business, is looking for a strong people leader to drive operational excellence, deliver outstanding customer service, and support ongoing growth.

The role
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of supervisors and operatives (circa 25 staff).
  • Oversee all warehouse operational functions, ensuring a safe, compliant and efficient working environment.
  • Deliver agreed customer service levels while managing costs and resources effectively.
  • Maintain and improve Health & Safety standards, risk assessments and site procedures.
  • Manage stock control, site KPIs, reporting and operational documentation.
  • Support customer relationships, dealing with service queries and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Deputise for the General Manager and support with budgeting, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive performance, manage underperformance, support training needs and lead by example.
Experience
  • Experience supervising or managing teams within a warehouse or 3PL environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a positive, performance-driven culture.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety standards (NEBOSH / IOSH desirable).
  • Experience using WMS and confident IT skills.
  • An understanding of budgets, cost control and P&L basics.
  • The drive to develop professionally – CPC, Known Consignor & Responsible Officer training can be provided.
