Overview
Bradley David Associates is looking for an Operations and Sales Coordinator to join our client's team in Bradford.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordination of Air Export Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the air export department while ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Customer Service & Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with air export customers and agents, ensuring consistent and high-quality customer service delivery.
- Sales Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects. Work closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth.
- Operational Issue Resolution: Address and resolve operational or customer service concerns, ensuring a prompt and effective solution.
- Invoicing & Profitability Management: Take responsibility for ensuring accurate invoicing and maintaining profitability within air export operations.
- Customs Compliance: Ensure all HMRC Export and Import regulations are adhered to, including managing customs queries, audits, and ensuring minimal duty/tax liability.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide internal reporting on air export activities, generate monthly client reports, and analyze data to identify areas for process improvements or business opportunities.
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Work in partnership with the sales team to support cross-functional goals, share market insights, and ensure alignment between operations and sales strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in airfreight operations or freight forwarding.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across Europe with a focus on Air, Road, and Sea freight, as well as import/export and time-critical logistics.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships to ensure repeat business and account growth.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on strategic business planning for the Global Division.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities effectively using CRM systems.
- Provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Travel across the North of England and Scotland to meet clients and expand market presence.
- Ability to identify and act on sales opportunities, with a focus on growing the customer base and increasing revenue.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
