The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in operational risk within banking or financial services, demonstrating strong analytical and communication skills. This role offers hybrid working, with 2 days in the office in London and 3 days from home.

Qualifications

Purpose of the role

To support management in the implementation of the operational risk management framework and provide expert knowledge and guidance to business units and group functions on all elements of operational risk. To work collaboratively in a relationship management approach, successfully implementing the framework elements and promoting a culture of clear ownership, accountability and responsibility for Operational Risk Management.

The ideal candidate will have subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Business Continuity/Operational Resilience
  • Change and Delivery Risk
  • Third Party Management
  • Transaction Processing
  • Legal Risk

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years experience of working within Operational Risk within Banking (or broader Financial Services)
  • Maintaining a good understanding of current Bank relevant risks / issues / events enabling constructive challenge and informative reporting.
  • Strong analysis skills and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sound reporting skills – ability to translate data into information.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills with the ability to engage with colleagues of all levels across the organization and able to draft reports to senior leaders and Executive Committees.
