Job description

A growing business is searching for anOperational Resource Planning Assistant to join their Romsey based team.

Your Role

While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:

  • Planning and prioritising jobs in line with customer requirements and business capacity
  • Forecasting resource needs to ensure engineer availability matches workload
  • Scheduling engineers effectively, balancing skills, qualifications, and travel
  • Monitoring daily progress and reallocating resources to meet changing priorities
  • Issuing job packs and instructions to engineers ahead of scheduled works
  • Acting as the link between operations, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth delivery
  • Maintaining accurate records of allocations, hours worked, job outcomes, and compliance documentation
  • Preparing reports on resource utilisation, job performance, and compliance for management
  • Identifying scheduling gaps, inefficiencies, or conflicts and recommending improvements
  • Overseeing allocation, servicing, and compliance of vehicles and equipment, with logs kept up to date


You MUST Have

  • Proven experience within an operational, scheduling, coordination or resource planning role
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excquisite communication skills, both verbally and in written form
  • Strong competency with IT tools including Microsoft Office, AI Tools, databases and job managemen systems
  • Knowledge of fleet management or equipment compliance would be desireable

This role will support projects across the company, ensuring an effective assignment of resources, vehicles, people and equipment is supplied and planned.

The successful applicant could achieve a salary in the region of £37,000 depending on previous experience and relevant skill-based and sector knowledge. This will accompany a benefits package including excellent holiday allowances, pension and addition rewards and incentives.
