Be part of our success story and contribute to our bright future, Locala Community Partnerships is a Community Interest Company (CIC), an independent, not-for-profit social enterprise, providing NHS services to over 400,000 people, in and around Kirklees.
Our OPAT service, part of Locala’s Integrated Community Services, is comprised of our Clinical Lead, Band 6 Clinical Coordinator and a team of band 5 Nurses working across the Kirklees area, with supporting clinicians from the acute trusts and other community partners. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, caring nurse to join our team who is also able to work independently / mobile and as a team. The team currently works a mixture of 7.5 hour early and late shifts.
The service covers the Kirklees community and offers a 7-day service, from 8am until 9pm. The team’s aim is to prevent unnecessary lengthy admission to hospital by providing IV antibiotic therapy and NMAB therapy to medically stable patients in their own homes.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills and clinical skills including IV skills to deliver treatment and build relationships and network with key stakeholders to enable service delivery. As a digital enterprise, we are thinking forward in the use of IT skills including SystmOne. Using initiative is essential, as is skill sharing with colleagues within the team, and the wider organisation. It is essential that all the team members work closely together, to truly integrate an MDT and provide a comprehensive service whilst working closely with the acute trusts.
We are committed to supporting CPD through our robust appraisal system. This is delivered by in-service training, access to external courses and clinical supervision. Locala is committed to helping employees achieve a positive work-life balance and promotes mobile working. Staff are provided with mobile technology.
