Job summary

A leading aerospace and engineering firm is seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join their team at Prestwick Airport. This hands-on role will provide vital EHS support, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and fostering a culture of safety. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Health & Safety or Environmental Management and relevant EHS experience. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential as the specialist will liaise with management and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

  • Practical EHS experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical environment.
  • Relevant experience as an EHS specialist or equivalent role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day EHS support to management and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
  • Act as the primary EHS point of contact on site.
  • Prepare and maintain EHS compliance documentation.
  • Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead workplace risk assessments and develop Safe Working Instructions.
  • Evaluate workplace hazards and support new projects.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programmes.
