1:1 Tutor position located in or around Benfleet. Prospero Teaching is looking for an SEN Tutor to provide tuition for children currently out of education.

Contract Details

• Location: Benfleet
• Position: SEN Tutor
• Type of work: Contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration: Dependent on each student
• Contract type: Temporary
• Full time/Part time: Part time and full time depending on availability
• Rate of pay: £25 per hour
• Hours: 6 – 30 hours per week (flexible)

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in a pupil’s education
• Boost engagement and attainment levels
• Provide personalised, enjoyable lessons and monitor progression with each pupil

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with SEN or similar

Eligibility to Apply

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
