One-to-One SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary | Full Time 🌟

Are you a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference? Aspire People are seeking a confident 1:1 SEN TA to support a primary-aged pupil with complex needs within one of our specialist client schools.

This is a full-time role, perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and is passionate about helping children achieve their potential.

About the Role

You will work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil who requires tailored support due to a range of complex needs. The school is looking for someone who is:

  • Confident supporting complex learning, communication, and behavioural needs
  • Skilled in building positive, trusting relationships
  • Adaptable, patient, and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
  • Able to work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider SEN team
Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Implement individualised strategies to encourage engagement and learning
  • Use de-escalation and regulation techniques when required
  • Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, or complex needs)
  • Strong resilience, empathy, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable in dynamic situations
