Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Oncology Specialty Doctor to join the Oncology team at The Royal Surrey Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey Hospital (RSH) for a fixed period of 6 months.

Here at the Royal Surrey, we aim to provide first‑class, high quality care for all of our patients in a friendly and professional setting. Our services have received national recognition and praise and our patients benefit from the latest and most innovative treatments available, delivered by a team of committed and highly skilled staff. You will be joining our team of 29 oncologists, supported by a team of Specialist Registrars, Specialty Doctors, SHOs, AHP's and Specialist Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Based at the RSH in Guildford providing a high level of medical care to the Oncology patients in the outpatient clinics.
• Travel to local outreach partner oncology sites to provide clinic cover and work within the tumour group teams, covering the service where required.
• Cover regular on‑call duties as per the contract.
• 10PA post consisting of outpatient clinics, ward work, AOS, MDT meetings, radiotherapy and chemotherapy prescribing.

Non‑surgical oncological treatment for these patients is provided at the St. Luke's Cancer Centre, which is an integral part of the Trust. There are close links with surrounding cancer units and the Surrey Clinical Research Centre.
