Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
The Harborne Hospital is HCA Healthcare UK’s newest state‑of‑the‑art private hospital, located in the heart of Edgbaston, Birmingham. Bringing together leading consultants, advanced medical technologies and purpose‑built facilities, we deliver exceptional care to patients across the West Midlands.
As a modern multi‑specialty centre, we offer rapid access to expert‑led pathways and coordinated care across a wide range of clinical services — including an expanding, innovative cancer service.
Our oncology service provides personalised, seamless support from first symptoms through diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up. With access to specialist teams, modern facilities and cutting‑edge treatment options, patients receive timely, effective and compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Oncology Nursing Department Manager to lead and develop our growing cancer services. You will oversee a dedicated team of around 10 nurses, supporting both our day‑case oncology service and our CNS team, covering all malignancies.
This is a pivotal leadership role at a time of significant growth and innovation. The Harborne Hospital is developing a stem cell transplant service and expanding its clinical trials portfolio, and we were the first private centre to administer a bispecific treatment in solid tumours. You will play a central role in shaping these new services, ensuring safe, high‑quality care and supporting the team through change and development.
We are actively working towards JACIE accreditation and seeking MQEM accreditation, and you will be instrumental in driving these quality and governance initiatives. The role will also deputise for the Oncology Matron when required.
