Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Birmingham is looking for a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support themed entertainment projects. This role involves overseeing the project lifecycle, collaborating with designers and engineers to create safe, cost-effective solutions, and ensuring manufacturability through close work with fabrication teams. Key responsibilities include producing technical drawings and conducting engineering analyses. The position offers a contract rate of £25–£30 per hour for a 12-month period, outside of IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and technical development of entertainment projects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet safety and design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
• Produce and review technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Work with design teams to translate concepts into technical solutions.
• Liaise with fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct material selection and engineering calculations.
