BEH are the designated lead provider for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism, engaging with the North Central London Regional working group to ensure the implementation and roll out of standardised training is achieved consistently.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a diverse team with professionals from diverse health and social care organisations, supporting the creation and delivery of this project across NCL, reaching circa 80,000 colleagues.
This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering the roll out of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme effectively.
You will raise awareness of the statutory requirements of the programme, supporting the clear communication and efficient delivery, control, planning and reporting of this initiative.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic expertise, to proactively support the delivery and implementation of this major change activity and initiative, with a focus on the human behaviour and the people impact of change.
- To provide professional support, expertise, and management of the project and workstreams ensuring that they are set up appropriately, equipped with the right level of resources and remain focused on the vision and objectives of the project.
- Provide leadership and focus to the project team and pro‑actively communicate with key stakeholders on the development and delivery of the project ensuring that it is managed in line with best practice standards and that risks are managed, and benefits realised.
- Planning and monitoring overall progress to make sure that project milestones are being met across the various workstreams.
- Responsible for undertaking development and providing project management in support of developing competencies within the NCL ICS.
- Work with the Head of Learning & Development to support the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme, building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

Qualifications / Registrations
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level.
- CIPD or appropriate post‑graduate qualification
Desirable criteria
- Project management qualification e.g. Prince2 or Agile.
- Further training or significant experience in project management and supporting change management processes
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential criteria
- Experience of Project Management in larger scale organisation, ideally within people or organisation change projects. Experience of working with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation. Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences. Evidence of success in efficient and effective project and programme management. Ability to analyse and interpret information, pre‑empt, and evaluate issues, and recommend and appropriate course of action to address the issues. Skills for communication on complex matters and difficult situations, requiring persuasion and influence Skills for nurturing key relationships and maintaining networks. Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands. Takes decisions on difficult and contentious issues where they may be several courses of action IT skills - IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office suite Excellent written work skills

Essential criteria
- Good understanding / knowledge of the cultural, quality and workforce challenges facing the NHS Experience of Project Management in larger scale organisation, ideally within people or organisation change projects. Demonstrated ability in driving large size projects across the health and / or social care sector or similar environment. Experience of planning, managing, and monitoring projects Experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to meet Organisational objectives. Knowledge of, and experience of using quality improvement techniques Experience of managing systems, processes, and information resources, redesigning to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
