Job summary

A children's residential care provider is seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager in Essex to lead a new 8-10 bed children's home. You will be responsible for setting up the operational management and ensuring compliance with regulations while creating a safe, supportive environment for young individuals aged 11–17 with complex needs. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £75,000, bonuses for Ofsted registration and full occupancy, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in residential childcare, including 2+ years in management.

We’re currently supporting a highly regarded children’s residential care provider in opening a brand-new 8-10 bed children’s home in Brighlingsea, supporting young people aged 11–17 with Learning Disabilities and complex needs, and we’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service from the ground up.

You’ll be responsible for setting up and overseeing the full operational management of the home, recruiting your team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory frameworks, and creating a safe, trauma-informed environment where children can thrive.
