Overview

As one of our Offshore Reliability Engineers, you’ll help to maintain the reliability and technical integrity of our assets’ safety and production critical equipment through assessment of equipment reliability characteristics, including advanced condition-based monitoring. We’ll also expect you to provide troubleshooting support to maintenance, root cause analysis of operational related problems, auditing and improvement of maintenance reference plans.

Responsibilities
  • Improvement of offshore and onshore structures performance through maintenance analysis and reliability/improvement loop
  • Responsible for planning structural inspection
  • Providing maintenance input into Asset Integrity and structural engineering support for onshore and offshore structures
  • Act as contract holder for a number of hoisting and structural engineering related contracts
  • Actively participate in audits and reviews
  • Advise and prepare the specification and selection of ROV Launch and Recovery and control systems to be installed on new build vessels
  • Monitor and expedite the manufacture, assembly and test of new and upgraded handling systems
  • Identify and implement improvements that provide enhanced capability, improved performance and increased reliability of companies ROV Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS)
  • Deliverable of Incident and Injury Free (IIF) performance, while achieving timely delivery of projects within cost expectations
  • Initial review and assessment of proposed opportunities for Brownfield facilities and processing system modifications (pre-project & Project Phase 1)
  • Concept Selection, Design, Construction, Commissioning & Startup and Close Out of Brownfield facilities
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of design, fabrication and installation of new fixed offshore steel structures for Greenfield oil & gas development projects, structure modification work for Brownfield projects, and the integrity of the existing fixed offshore steel structures (jacket, piles, foundation, topsides, modules, bridges and miscellaneous structures)
Additional Responsibilities / Other Engineering Disciplines
  • Data management focal point, preparing and uploading data and files to data storage systems; preparing well files (full history from drilling to current status)
  • Prepare basic evaluations such as geological data compilation, formation tops and bases, basic mapping or modelling, and basic reservoir engineering analyses
  • Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice
  • Understand clients’ needs; identify and address design parameters and problems; develop and implement innovative solutions
  • Independently evaluate, organise and prioritise work for self and others; undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in offshore reliability, maintenance analysis, and condition-based monitoring
  • Ability to provide troubleshooting support and root cause analysis for operational problems
  • Experience with asset integrity, structural engineering, and maintenance planning
  • Experience with ROV Launch and Recovery (LARS) systems and related control systems is desirable
  • Strong data management, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Fluent English; strong communication and presentation skills
