Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Office Manager/ EA to join our client who are a well established organisation based in Newark.

This is a full time permanent position with a salary of £37k-£39k DOE. You will primarily be based in the office however a level of some flexible working may be offered after probation.

This position is a true all rounder role, you will be the operational backbone of a small but busy team. This role would suit someone who thrives on variety, can handle multiple priorities and ensure the smooth running of day to day operations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth running of a busy office, supporting other staff, providing guidance and training.
  • Preparing, coordinating and distributing meeting agendas.
  • Minute taking and ensuring all follow-ups are accurately tracked.
  • Oversee IT support and act as the main point of contact for internal members as well as liaising with external suppliers.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting vacancies, shortlisting and supporting interviews for all positions.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and attending events ensuring they run efficiently.
  • Provide high level support to senior staff members, managing schedules, meeting and other projects to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain and update website ensuing all content and information is accurate and up to date.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a busy administrative environment ideally in a senior role. Experience in the public sector or similarly structured environment would be desirable. You will have a strong understanding of IT systems including Microsoft Office and be confident in minute taking.

This role requires someone with a proactive can do attitude who thrives both independently and as part of a team. You will be able to motivate, guide and support other colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
