Job summary

A leading UK construction company is seeking an Office Manager/Coordinator in Bristol for a long-term major project. Responsibilities include managing office operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining administrative documents. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong communication and office management skills, contribute to a professional work environment, and be open to working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an expansive project lasting up to 10 years.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to operate a switchboard and manage office admin tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in construction industry or similar environments is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office opens and closes, ensuring a professional image.
  • Welcome visitors and meet all administrative needs.
  • Maintain records and SHE Files for site usage.
  • Ensure all resources and supplies are well managed.
  • Reserve meeting areas and assist with document control.
  • Maintain quality control and comply with the Company's Health & Safety Policy.

Job description

A loyal client to Sphere, are looking to employ an Office Manager / Office Co-Ordinator with immediate effect.

The successful candidate will be based across a large new build major project in Bristol. It will be constructed over multiple phases for 5-10 years. The end product will consist of a new build Campus, Auditorium, Office Blocks, Training Facilities, Restaurant, Kitchens, and underground Car Park.

Your new company are a large UK Main Contractor, who specialise in Construction, Fit Out, and Major Regeneration schemes.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Opening / closing the project / consultant office, operating switchboard politely and efficiently.
  • Welcoming all visitors, presenting a professional Company image and ensuring all administrative requirements are met.
  • Provision of office administrative tasks promptly and efficiently, maintenance of records and provision of SHE Files for site usage.
  • Ensure the project / consultant office and all office resources/supplies are well-managed and maintained.
  • Reserve meeting areas and service as required (e.g. photocopying, provision of tea/coffee etc).
  • Assist with the provision of document control as and when required.
  • Apprenticeship records, Waste, Energy, Water figures etc.
  • Completion of projects, follow up with closure of permits and returnable deposits from statutory authorities etc.
  • Collate and record Company CCS/CSR activities
  • Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with the Company s IMS System.
  • Be aware of and comply with the Company s Health & Safety Policy.

Working hours will be 8:30am 16:30pm, Monday - Friday, based on site.
