Job summary

You will be responsible for managing the home, ensuring the needs of children and young people are met and maintaining high standards in childcare. Ideal candidates should have a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and at least 2 years of management experience in a similar setting. The role offers a competitive salary up to £61,650 including bonuses.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence; able to drive as required for the children’s and young people’s needs.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with child and adult barred-list check.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervisory or management roles within residential childcare.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of running the home, ensuring children's needs are met.
• Ensure each young person has a comprehensive care plan.
• Regularly review placement plans.
• Allocate a Key Worker responsible for implementing the childcare plan.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Effectively manage budgets and monitor financial use.
• Handle conduct and competence issues of staff.
• Attend all mandatory training events.
