Responsibilities
  • To be an occupational therapist delivering patient-centred, caring Therapy for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital (RBFT).
  • To be professionally responsible for all aspects of your own work including the therapeutic management of patients in your care, in conjunction with your supervisor.
  • To use your occupational therapy knowledge and skills to provide support and advice to the Multidisciplinary team and to manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To deliver a high quality, effective and efficient occupational therapy service in the Therapy team.
  • To be a member of the Therapy Department team, contributing to service development. In Therapies and the Trust.
  • To deputise for the Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist as required.
    We are looking for motivated and passionate Occupational Therapists to join the rotations at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The rotational post is suitable for new graduates (those who are due to become HCPC registered soon), as well as more experienced band 5s.

Qualifications
  • Degree or other recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • IT skills, including email
Desirable criteria
  • BSc OT
  • Member of BAOT
  • Training & Presentation Skills, Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of 3 or more different areas of Occupational Therapy practice (can be practice placements)
  • Experience working in an acute general hospital
  • Experience working in NHS healthcare setting, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
