Job description

Come and work in the Mental Health Integrated Network Team (MINT) as an occupational therapist (OT) and be part of a supportive and welcoming team in Hounslow. Our service was developed around the Community Mental Health Framework and the Step Care Model, to support working age adults, including transitions from CAMHS, with a mental and physical health diagnosis to live independently in the community. From April 2025 we have moved to borough based partnerships, which means more integration with the primary care network, physical health, social care, voluntary, community and social enterprises, housing, police and probation.

What can we offer?
  • Monday to Friday working week
  • A comprehensive induction
  • Staff wellbeing and support
  • A stable, supportive, and dynamic workplace
  • A values driven environment - Togetherness, Responsibility, Excellence and Caring underpin how we treat each other and our patients
  • Regular and supportive line management, clinical and professional supervision
  • Training and CPD opportunities, with the chance for career development
Responsibilities
  • Provide a person‑centred mental health care and occupational therapy interventions in collaboration to a defined caseload of service users, situated within the MINT team with occupational therapists and other multi‑disciplinary team members.
  • Actively develop and implement a framework of care, which reflects a holistic approach to service user needs, and the seven pillars of clinical governance.
  • Use evidence‑based principles to apply clinical skills and reasoning in occupational therapy, assessment, treatment planning, intervention and evaluation which include individual and group orientated approaches.
  • Act as a resource for the team, providing occupational therapy professional guidance, and to lead on the evaluation and continued development of occupational therapy in the MINT service.
  • Provide leadership and take responsibility for the direct supervision of less clinically experienced staff, link and peer support workers and students, including conducting Performance Development Reviews (PDR) as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with other VSCEs, carers and Hounslow local authority to provide preventative mental health care and community integration.
