Overview

Are you an Occupational Therapist working in the UK and considering relocation to Bermuda where most roles include a 35-hour working week (overtime generally available), sunshine, a great quality of life, and virtually tax-free earnings? We know the island well and have placed many staff there successfully over the last 20 years.

Salary and benefits: annual salary $83,780.26, with additional hourly rate available (approx. £61,936 per year or £34.03/hour). You will receive a range of benefits including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive assessments for inpatients and outpatients, using objective clinical measures to identify problems and create client-centered treatment plans.
  • Delivering effective therapeutic interventions and monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Meeting departmental productivity standards for patient care and related duties.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation in line with current standards and policies; preparing clinical reports as required.
  • Supervising, delegating, and supporting aides, assistants, and students with written treatment plans.
  • Liaising with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Tracking and reporting accurate statistics for both direct and indirect time spent.
  • Contributing to service development and continuous improvement of Occupational Therapy within the hospital.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university (with certification in jurisdiction of training, if applicable)
  • Post-graduate experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP), including meeting re-registration requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving skills to meet diverse patient needs
  • Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to support staff and students effectively
  • Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory for all successful candidates
