Job Summary

Make a real difference to people’s lives. Join our team as an Occupational Therapist and help individuals live their best lives. The role is based at Harrogate, Skipton or Selby.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments with people and carers, identifying needs and arranging appropriate equipment, assistive technology and adaptations.
  • Complete moving and handling and risk assessments, creating safe handling plans.
  • Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely access to solutions, including recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Promote health and wellbeing through advice on healthy lifestyles, co-producing and reviewing support plans, and representing the Directorate in court proceedings and with external agencies.
  • Act as a Practice Educator for students and contribute to ongoing service development.
Qualifications
  • A qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Passion for early intervention and prevention.
  • Ability to travel across North Yorkshire (essential).
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
