Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive assessments with people and carers, identifying needs and arranging appropriate equipment, assistive technology and adaptations.
- Complete moving and handling and risk assessments, creating safe handling plans.
- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely access to solutions, including recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants.
- Promote health and wellbeing through advice on healthy lifestyles, co-producing and reviewing support plans, and representing the Directorate in court proceedings and with external agencies.
- Act as a Practice Educator for students and contribute to ongoing service development.
Qualifications
- A qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Passion for early intervention and prevention.
- Ability to travel across North Yorkshire (essential).
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
