A regional health trust in the UK seeks an Occupational Therapist to manage caseloads and provide client-centered therapy. Responsibilities include conducting assessments and implementing interventions. Candidates should have a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professions Council. Previous experience in adult mental health is preferred. To manage a defined caseload, using evidence‑based, client‑centred principles. To assess occupational and vocational needs. To plan and implement interventions in a range of settings, including clinical and community. To maintain clinical records. To develop skills and knowledge through participation in PDR and supervision.
To undertake occupational therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the client in areas of self‑maintenance, productivity and leisure. To work with clients to identify OT goals as part of the overall care plan. To plan and implement individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the client, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals. To appropriately signpost to community‑based services. To effectively assess risk. To monitor and evaluate treatment, in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of the intervention.
