Job Title: Occupational Hygiene Consultant

Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire
Salary / Benefits £25k- £48k + Training + Benefits

Our client is a multidisciplined and national Environmental Consultancy. They are now looking to recruit an Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join their team in the South East of England. You will be covering Education, Manufacturing and Heavy Industry site bases carrying out various COSHH, noise, dust, and fume assessments in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines. You will also be responsible for providing clients with detailed reports and providing advice and recommendations on work to be carried out to improve the workplace environment. Consideration will be given to candidates from: St Albans, Watford, Cheshunt, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Luton, Slough, Bletchley, Brackley, Windsor, Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, Brentwood, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Dartford, Gravesend, Gillingham.

Experience & Qualifications

• Will have experience working as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant.
• Holding 1 or more BOHS modules in relation to Occupational Hygiene e.g., W501, W503, W507.
• Holding the BOHS P600, P601 and P602 would be beneficial to the role but not essential.
• Will have a courteous and professional manner with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Will have good IT skills.

The Role

• Carrying out COSHH assessments.
• Occupational noise, dust, and fume assessments.
• Undertaking HAV (hand arm vibration) risk assessment.
• Carrying out LEV assessments.
• Providing excellent technical consultancy advice to clients and advising on actions required to improve workplace environment.
• Undertaking various monitoring programmes to confirm work exposure to hazardous substances.
• Producing detailed reports upon completion of assessments.
• Providing quotes for work to be carried out.
• Alternative Job titles: Occupational Hygiene Consultant, Occupational Hygienist, Environmental Occupational Hygienist.
