Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an NMC Registered Nurse Associate to join the existing team based at Maidstone. This is a seven‑day service, working between 08:00 and 16:00, with a late shift of 10:00 – 18:00 on a rotational basis.

The team supports patients from GP practices within the Maidstone Central Primary Care Network (PCN). The team provides nursing care to predominantly housebound patients in the Maidstone town centre area, taking responsibility for a defined geographical patch and working closely with local GPs, care homes, Social Services, voluntary organisations and other stakeholders.

As part of the District Nursing Service you will also provide local clinics and other clinical skills. This role complements the current skill‑mix for delivering nursing care within a community setting and allows you to develop and apply your clinical skills.

Requirements and qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an NMC licence
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to drive a car to perform duties
  • Car owner/driver essential (subject to the Equality Act 2010)
  • Experience or willingness to provide care in a community setting
  • Willingness to drive a car and claim mileage costs or access the NHS car lease provision after probation
  • Fully vaccinated for clinical and non‑clinical roles with direct patient contact
