Overview

Requirements and Responsibilities
  • The post-holder will use knowledge and experience of infection prevention and control (IPC) to support compliance with Regulation and Governance Standards and improve standards of care and clinical practice.
  • They will act as a role model, undertake audits and risk assessments, and provide expert IPC advice and support to all Trust areas including community nursing, specialist community clinics, and inpatient wards.
  • They will collect and analyse data, write reports, develop and deliver training, and present to groups.
  • They will travel around the County and region, meeting the travel requirements of the post.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Demonstrated IPC experience in the current role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, motivating others to deliver safe care and reduce infection incidence.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and web‑based applications.
