About our Nursery

East Malling, rated Good by Ofsted, is an eco-friendly nursery with a capacity of 74 children. We focus on food waste reduction and teaching children about recycling and upcycling. We maintain strong links with local secondary schools and the church, and participate in community events throughout the year. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children
  • Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration
  • Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring progress is tracked and communicated with parents
  • Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring holistic development and personal care for a group of children
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment
Ideal Candidate
  • Level 3 qualification or above in early years education
  • Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience preferred (ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager, or Nursery Practitioner)
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families
