Long Term Futures are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who holds a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification to join a supportive primary school in Thornton Heath, South London. This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated individual who holds a recognised Level 3 childcare qualification and is looking for a fulfilling long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

The Position

This full-time position is a key part of the school's daily nursery provision. Shifts will run from approximately 8:00 AM and potentially include evening cover finishing 6:00 PM. As a vital member of the nursery team, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality daily care and supervision for young children, assisting the Nursery Teacher and ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Your Core Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nursery Teacher with engaging and educational activities across the early years curriculum.

  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment is maintained for all children at all times.

  • Support daily routines effectively, including mealtimes, sleep periods, and personal care.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with pupils, parents, and fellow staff members.

  • Contribute to tracking and recording children's development and progress.

Essential Candidate Requirements
  • Must hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator or Childcare qualification (e.g., Diploma in Childcare and Education, Diploma for Early Years Educators).

  • Paediatric First Aid qualification is essential and must be valid.

  • Prior experience working in an early years or nursery setting is essential.

  • Possess a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

  • Demonstrate patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.

  • Maintain a proactive and team-oriented approach to your work and duties, specialising in early years care.
