Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join Cedar Childrens Academy. As a Nursery Practitioner you will play a vital role in providing high‑quality care and education to children in our nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children and a passion for early childhood education.

Duties:

  • Create a safe nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
  • Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime and rest periods.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well‑being and development of each child.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child’s daily activities and progress.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well‑being of children at all times.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organised nursery environment.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.

Required:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Relevant qualification in childcare or early childhood education (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
