Are you a hardworking Nursery Nurse or Early Years Educator looking to transition into a Primary School setting?

We are currently working with a large, diverse, and inclusive Primary School in Chelmsford that is looking for Level 3 qualified staff to join their Foundation Stage team. The school is keen to hire candidates with a "nursery background" because of your specific expertise in the EYFS framework, personal care, and learning-through-play.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive Reception team. You will be moving away from the long hours of private day nurseries and into a structured school day.

  • Role: Learning Support Assistant (Reception / Key Stage 1).
  • Focus: Supporting children with SEN (Autism/Speech & Language) and helping the class generally.
  • Hours:3:30pm (Term time only).
Your Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Class Teacher with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Working 1:1 with children who require extra support with communication and social interaction.
  • Assisting with Phonics groups (Experience with Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds is a bonus).
  • Conducting observations and updating learning journals (Tapestry).
  • Helping to create engaging displays and learning resources.
We are looking for
  • Qualification: CACHE / NNEB / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years or Childcare.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a Nursery or School setting is essential.
  • Personality: Adaptable, energetic, and patient. You must be comfortable working in a busy, multicultural school environment.
  • Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
